New chief operating officer at TFL

Leather chemicals manufacturer TFL has appointed Scottish supply chain specialist Brian Watson as its new chief operating officer. Mr Watson has also become a member of the company’s executive board.

He studied chemical engineering at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh in the 1980s and worked first for ICI before moving to Huntsman, where he was first supply chain director of the polyurethanes division and later vice-president for purchasing for the whole Huntsman Group in Europe. Following this, he held senior supply chain roles at chemical companies Lonza and Addivant.

He will now have global responsibility for research, production and supply chain at TFL.
