15/03/2016
The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has confirmed that it is in the process of recruiting a national project manager for the Sialkot Tannery Zone in Pakistan.

The project is a joint initiative involving the government of Pakistan, the Sialkot Tannery Association, the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Punjab Environment Protection Department, and UNIDO, with funding coming from the Global Environment Facility (GEF).

GEF is a body set up in 1992 to help tackle environmental challenges. Since its inception, it has provided $14.5 billion in grants and mobilised $75.4 billion in additional financing for almost 4,000 projects. UNIDO is one the organisation’s 18 “implementing partners”.

Candidates have until April 7, 2016, to apply for the position.
