Brazilian beef exports on the rise

In terms of volume, February shipments reached 126,600 tonnes in 2016, an increase compared to the same month last year of more than 30%.
Importing countries that contributed most to growth were China, which sourced more than 11,000 tonnes of Brazilian beef in February this year, whereas it did not buy beef directly from Brazil this time last year, Hong Kong (up by 26.2%) and Egypt (up by 16.6%).
