UITIC congress adds factory visits to programme

Delegates at the 19th congress of the International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians (UITIC) in Chennai (February 3-5, 2016) will have the opportunity to visit the manufacturing facilities of two of the most prominent companies in the local leather and footwear industry.

India’s Council for Leather Exports (CLE), which is organising the event on behalf of UITIC, has arranged for delegates to see factories run in the Chennai area by Farida and by KH Group on February 3. Both companies run tanneries and factories to make footwear and accessories in the region.

The congress will open on the morning of February 4 and continue until one o’clock on the afternoon of February 5.
