Growth for Brazilian tanning machinery exports

06/08/2015
Brazil’s leather and footwear machinery manufacturers’ association, Abrameq, has said its members achieved export sales with a value of $7.4 million in the first half of 2015, which represents an increase of around 70% compared to the same period in 2014.

Mexico and Argentina are the most important markets for Brazilian tanning and footwear machinery, but from being the tenth biggest export market in 2010, Colombia is now in third place. And because Abrameq believes Colombia offers considerable potential for further growth, it is organising a trade mission to major centres in Colombia in September.

The tour will take in Bogotá, Cali, Medellin and Bucaramanga and will take place between September 13 and 25.
