USMEF prepares to bring meat buyers to Costa Rica

The fifth edition of the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) Latin American Product Showcase will take place in Costa Rica on July 15 and 16 and is shaping up as the largest ever, the organisation has said.

Thirty-six meat exporters from different parts of the US will travel to the Costa Rican capital, San José, for the event and USMEF has said it expects 75 importers from 16 Latin American countries to meet them and discuss future business possibilities.

USMEF’s director of trade development in the region, Gerardo Rodríguez, said the event would allow ample time for one-on-one business meetings between exporters and buyers, while also offering educational seminars on topics such as packaging, processing techniques, equipment, and cold chain management.
