Ostrich leather firm to lose group MD

Ostrich meat and leather producer Klein Karoo is to lose its group managing director, Johan Stumpf.

Johannesburg-based packaging firm Mpact confirmed in April that Mr Stumpf will take over as managing director of its corrugated paper division at the start of next year.

Mr Stumpf has been the managing director of the Klein Karoo group of companies since 2009. Klein Karoo claims to supply 65% of the world’s ostrich leather, meat and feathers.
