Record sales for Volvo in 2014 as China becomes biggest market

27/02/2015
Swedish automotive brand Volvo registered record sales of 466,000 vehicles in 2014, a year-on-year increase of almost 10%.

China registered growth in sales of 33% and become Volvo’s number-one market, followed by Sweden and the US.

Chief executive, Hakan Samuelsson, attributed much of the growth to a new sports utility vehicle, the XC90, which he said will “revitalise our brand”.
