Argentina’s industry minister, Débora Giorgi, inaugurated a new cut-and-sew plant in Luján, near Buenos Aires, on February 23. The factory, run by Argentinean firm Sewtech, will produce seat covers in leather and in textile for a new Toyota model, the Hilux.
Sewtech’s new factory will employ 260 people and, when running at full capacity, will produce 115,000 seat-cover sets per year.
