BMW on course to break 2 million sales barrier
Automotive group BMW has reported sales of more than 1.9 million vehicles in the first 11 months of 2014. This figure represents an increase of 7.1% on the corresponding figure for 2013.

Commenting in the results for the year so far, sales and marketing director, Ian Robertson, said: “November continues the sales growth we have seen throughout the year. Our new models have made a very good start, while our core models continue to record a steady increase in sales. We can now be confident of achieving our target of selling over two million vehicles by the end of the year, a new record for the BMW Group.”

Sales of cars under the BMW brand were up by 9% to more than 1.6 million. The corresponding figure for the Mini brand is 265,404, still down year on year (by 3.3%) following changes to models.
