Fast-growing MCM launches Munich flagship

Leathergoods brand MCM, which was launched in Germany in 1976 but is now Korean owned and popular in Asia, has opened a flagship store in Munich.

Celebrities joined designers at the Oktoberfest-inspired launch and the company used the occasion to launch a limited-edition Wiesn Bag

The company posted sales of $500 million in 2013, and forecasts revenues to rise to $750 million this year and $1.5 billion in three to four years.

 Its chairwoman, Kim Sung-joo, has recently been announced as the next president of the Korean Red Cross.
