British footwear brand goes from strength to strength
British leather shoe Brand Loake has reported that 2014 has been a good year for the company, with new agents in the US giving a shoehorn into the East Coast market and growing demand from Asia.

At the Micam shoe fair in Milan last week, the company reported its first buyer from Indonesia, the 75th country the brand is now sold in.

Specialising in the goodyear welted construction, the company traces its history back to 1880 and each pair takes an average of eight weeks to complete.

It received a boost when it was revealed recently that Dr Who, played by actor Peter Capaldi, will be shod in Loake in the BBC's new series.
