Finalists make last-minute preparations for Tannery of the Year

Judges will use the information the tanners provide in the presentations, combined with the detailed reports on each one that World Leather has published between December 2013 and August 2014, to decide which of the finalists will win the regional Tannery of the Year awards this time around and which will receive the Highly Commended accolade.
From five regional winners, the judges will decide which will be the global Tannery of the Year for 2014. The announcements will be made at a special Tannery of the Year Gala Dinner in the Jumeirah Himalayas hotel, opposite the venue for the 2014 All China Leather Exhibition.
Our nine finalists, in alphabetical order, are: Bojos Tanning, Dominican Republic (Americas), Couro Azul, Portugal (Europe), Dire Tannery, Ethiopia (Africa), Henan Prosper, Henan province (China), JBS Couros Itumbiara, Brazil (Americas), Mingxin Leather, Zhejiang province (China), Packer Leather, Australia (Asia excluding China), Saigon Tan Tec, Vietnam (Asia excluding China), and Wollsdorf Leather, Austria (Europe), .
