A group of representatives of the Indian leather industry began a visit to Brazil on August 4 to meet technical and commercial contacts from all parts of the leather sector.

Brazil’s tanning industry association, CICB, hosted the visit. Eight people in all, led by the executive director of India’s Council for Leather Exports, Ramesh Kumar, travelled from India to take part.

CICB president, José Fernando Bello, said in the build-up to the event that he hoped the Indian visitors would set up new partnerships with Brazilian tanners and forge stronger links.
