Zimbabwean government wants quick improvements in wastewater management

02/06/2014
The government in Zimbabwe has said tanneries in the country and other businesses in the manufacturing sector must take immediate action to improve wastewater treatment.

It has set up task-force teams in ten provinces to work with companies to make improvements. They have until June 30 to make progress and the government has said it will close down facilities that fail to do so.

Breweries, chemical manufacturers, food processors and soft drinks companies are all among the sectors implicated.
