Work is under way at new France Croco tannery

Work on a new tannery for exotic leather producer France Croco has begun near the town of Périers in Normandy.

New France Croco owner, luxury group Kering, promised last year that it would move the tannery from nearby Saint-Martin-d’Aubigny to allow for expansion, with the workforce growing from 55 people to as many as 200 when the project is complete.

At the start of May, the authorities in Périers confirmed that work had begun on the site, with engineers overseeing the installation of water supplies.
