Car companies keep growing in Q1
The world’s top automotive manufacturers by volume maintained growth in the first quarter of 2014. Toyota kept its position as the best-selling car maker in the first three months of this year, delivering almost 2.6 million vehicles globally. This represents an increase of 6.3% compared to its sales for the same months in 2013.

Over the same period, General Motors achieved growth of 2%, selling more than 2.4 million vehicles worldwide, ahead of the Volkswagen group, which hit the 2.4 million mark, growth of 5.8%.

Ford’s figures for the quarter showed growth of 6.7% in volume, reaching almost 1.6 million vehicles, followed by Hyundai in fourth place with more than 1.2 million, an increase of 4.6%.
