Tanning Tech will follow Lineapelle to Milan

Italian tanners’ association, UNIC, said after the March 2014 edition of Lineapelle that the show had taken place for the last time in Bologna and would move to be closer to Italy’s fashion leaders in Milan from September 2014 onwards. The move is now the subject of a legal dispute because UNIC’s organising partners, BolognaFiere, object to the move away from the city that has hosted Lineapelle twice a year since the 1980s.
Assomac co-locates Tanning Tech with the autumn edition of Lineapelle and the president of the association, Amilcare Baccini, told leatherbiz on April 2 that this would continue in Milan.
However, Mr Baccini explained that it would take until the first edition of Lineapelle in 2015 to put the Tanning Tech change into effect and that, for this reason, there will be no Tanning Tech event this year and, from next year, it will move to the March instead.
“We are going to start work immediately on finding the best way to explain these changes carefully and clearly to Tanning Tech exhibitors and visitors,” Mr Baccini said.
