BASF hails Fabriktag as a success
Chemicals manufacturer BASF launched a new event earlier this year called Fabriktag (Factory Day).

The event took place in Ludwigshafen in Germany, with experts from different BASF divisions, including leather, giving presentations to designers on the best use of materials, colours, trends and production processes.

Specifically, BASF Leather Chemicals division presented on “design inspiration” for leather, using car upholstery and sports and fashion articles to put its ideas across.

Afterwards, the company said automotive designers had been attracted by “the refined and natural character of the leather car seat”, while other designers were interested in variety of finishing effects on display.
