Automotive leather focus for new Lectra marketing director
Automated cutting technology provider Lectra has announced that Céline Choussy Bedouet has joined the company to be its marketing director for automotive, furniture, technical textiles and composite materials.

On announcing the appointment, Lectra’s chief executive, Daniel Harari, said Ms Choussy Bedouet would make it a priority to promote automated cutting of leather interiors “to strengthen our position in the automotive market”. He said Lectra’s market-share in automated fabric-cutting for automotive interiors has risen from 15% to 60% in recent years.

He said another priority for the new marketing director would be to increase Lectra’s presence in the
furniture, technical textiles and composite materials markets, saying that the company now has “an enhanced offer” to bring to the market.

Before joining Lectra, Ms Choussy Bedouet worked for rival technology provider Dassault Systèmes in Europe and in the US. She later joined Autodesk as marketing manager for Europe.
