Export performance award for Tata International

India’s Council for Leather Exports (CLE) has named the tanning division of the Tata Corporation as the winner of its award for its export performance.

At an awards ceremony in Chennai on January 31, the CLE awarded first place overall for export performance to Tata International Limited.

Tata International’s global head of leather, Chris Hansen, accepted the award on the company’s behalf. Its tannery at Dewas in Madhya Pradesh was highly commended for Asia excluding China in the first programme of the Tannery of the Year Awards in 2010.
