Leap for Australian cattle exports to Vietnam

22/01/2014
Reports from Australia say the country exported 68,000 head of cattle to Vietnam in 2013 compared with the 3,500 the year before – an increase of 1,900%.

A spokesman for East Asian Livestock Services said Vietnam “ran out of cattle” after China absorbed some of its former supply, and that the Vietnamese embraced the new Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System after a visit by Australia's Northern Territory government, which boosted trade.
