BASF reports “excellent performance” of new wastewater range

Zetag Ultra, the name of the range, comprises a line of ultra-high molecular weight cationic powder flocculants; the company has said it will help operators of municipal and industrial wastewater treamtent plants separate liquid and solid waste. It will complement the existing BASF flocculant range
“Today industrial and municipal water treatment plants are challenged to achieve maximum performance under increasing cost pressure,” said Marcus Fuest, the company’s head of marketing for water solutions. He said Zetag Ultra had shown an “excellent performance” in a variety of extensive plant trials worldwide, with customers reporting that cake solids of dewatered sludge increased in average by 15%, from dose-savings of up to 20%.
