Italian leathergoods firm praises material-saving technology

The company’s main challenge was to increase its productivity to meet the increase in demand from Japan and meet growth objectives in China.
“Since introducing the technology, we have seen an increase of 50% in cutting volume and reduced our material consumption by about 15%,” said its director, Giacomo Valentini. “This is very important for us, because not only is it a question of making savings, but also of fulfilling orders with a more uniform cutting quality and hide colour.”
