Second Micam Shanghai to take place in October

Italian national footwear manufacturers association Assocalzaturifici (Assocal) has said its members are preparing for the second edition of Micam Shanghai, which will take place in the Chinese city from October 11-13. Dates have also been set for the third edition of the event, scheduled for March 26 – 28, 2014.

Assocal confirmed its members will be joined at the second Micam Shanghai by more exhibitors from France and England, where high-end shoe manufacturers are as keen to make an impression on the Chinese market as their Italian counterparts.

“This demonstrates that the decision to go to the Chinese market was a wise one,” Assocal said “as it is one of the strongest and most dynamic footwear markets in the world and the event offers opportunities to get a foot in the door of the world’s biggest footwear market.”
