Australian beef cattle producers feel the pinch

15/08/2013
Australian beef cattle-producing farms saw revenues fall from an average A$102,900 per farm in 2011-12 to A$100,000 per farm in 2012-13, according data published by the government and Meat and Livestock Australia.

Profit declined from an average of A$45,100 per farm in 2011-12 to A$2,000 per farm in 2012-13 it said, attributing the decline to lower beef cattle prices and drought, particularly in northern Australia.
