According to the company, highlights will include Trupon AMC, for fatliquoring of softer leathers, including leather for furniture upholstery. The product can provide “a light fluffy handle, a smooth grain characteristic and an and intensive level of dyeing”, it said. Trupon AMC is designed as a main fatliquor but it can also be applied during chrome tannage.
Other products on show will be Truposist D-N, designed for use on leathers that require large quantities of anionic syntans, resins and vegetable-based retanning materials, and the Trupotan Bio range, developed for use in the retanning process.
Of the Trupotan Bio products, Trumpler says they represent “a genuine ecological alternative to conventional syntans and amino-based resins”. They are based on collagenous by-products, are formaldehyde-, phenol- and chrome-free, have a low COD in wastewater, a high level of exhaustion and fixation, strong resistance to light and heat yellowing, good dyeability.
They offer improved tightness and give a fine grain, as well as good filling and buffing properties.
