Chinese leather garment production up in volume and value

China’s leather industry association CLIA has said that the value of leather apparel production in China in the first two months of 2013 reached $1.3 billion.

According CLIA figures, this represents an increase of 40.4% compared to the first two months of 2012.

More than 320 large-scale manufacturers are included in the assessment. In volume terms, these companies made 7.1 million leather garments in January and February 2013, an increase of 16.9% compared to the same months in 2012.
