Roberto Cavalli collaborates with Mini

Carmaker Mini will be supporting one of the world’s biggest AIDS charity events by donating a customised Paceman, and luxury leathergoods designer Roberto Cavalli has agreed to give the vehicle a creative makeover.

Mini has been donating vehicles for auction at the Life Ball since 2001, collaborating with Donatella Versace, Angela Missoni and Diane von Furstenberg for the designs. More than EUR 500,000 has been raised through the Vienna-based event - which will take place on May 25 - since its launch in 1993.

Mr Cavalli said: “Designing the Mini was a very fun, exciting and stimulating experience. I had to create a car which not only respected and conveyed my fashion, but also my lifestyle: an unusual challenge, but a fascinating one.”
