Addressing a recent meeting of the Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA), the Sri Lankan Consul General, D W Jinadasa, suggested tanners in Pakistan could benefit from cheaper buffalo and cow hides from Sri Lanka.

He invited a PTA contingent to an expo in Columbo in February, and said the two countries could do more to strengthen trade, according to local press.

“The export of leather from Pakistan to Sri Lanka stands at less than $5 million, which could be enhanced,” he said.
