Brazilian packer and tanning group JBS has appointed Gustavo Kahl as its new president for Argentina, replacing Artemio Listoni, who will return to Brazil to take up a role in the domestic beef business.

Before joining JBS, Mr Kahl held various leadership positions at multinational agribusiness Cargill, and most recently was responsible for grain origination. Before that, he worked for the beef company Finexcor for 15 years in various capacities.

“Gustavo has excellent management skills and a deep knowledge of the Argentine beef industry,” said Jose Augusto de Carvalho Junior, president of JBS Mercosul. “We are certain that he will continue the work that has been done in recent years, seeking to improve the performance of our activities in that country.”
