Stahl announces expansion in India

Production facilities at Ranipet and research and development and applications laboratory facilities in Chennai will both benefit from this investment. The new facilities are expected to open during the first quarter of 2013.
“The new laboratories in Chennai will ensure that customers receive the high level of service they require,” Stahl said in a recent announcement, adding that on-site training for customers would also be part of the package.
Also in the statement, the company said the design of the new buildings and installations contributes to its sustainability pledge and to making the most efficient use of resources. The laboratories are partially cooled using natural air flow. Elsewhere, full use is made of solar power and wherever possible rainwater is collected and stored for future use. Energy-efficient materials have been selected for installation throughout the new building.
Stahl said it is confident that the Indian leather industry is still booming and that it wants to support this growth by ensuring timely supply and service to its customers.
