Japanese zip manufacturer, YKK, has unveiled its ‘Excella’ curving zip for use in leathergoods. Featuring chiselling along the entire tape length and teeth mounted more tightly on one side, the zip curves naturally and opens up new creative possibilities for purses, bags and luggage.

The curve as achieved through a clever combination of laser cutting and a new method of mounting teeth, according to YKK.
