UNIC takes part in Pompeii presentation

Senior representatives of Italy’s National Union for the Tanning Industry (UNIC) is to take part in a presentation on a restoration project at Pompeii.

The presentation on October 7 is to show the result of a project begun three years ago to restore an ancient Roman tannery that functioned in Pompeii at the time of the town's burial under volcanic ash in AD79.

UNIC has worked with the authorities in Pompeii to restore the tannery. UNIC vice-president, Gianni Russo, and the organisation's director, Salvatore Mercogliano, will take part in the presentation of the project's progress.
