Scotland-based leather firm Bridge of Weir has opened a division in Detroit, US – a city sometimes called ‘the world’s car capital’.

The Bridge of Weir Leather Company already counts US car company Lincoln among its customers. It is the latest move by the privately-owned firm to expand its global reach.

Sales director Jamie Davidson said: “Opening this new office places Bridge of Weir Leather very well to develop the automotive offering that we successfully run in the UK and Europe.”
