Asprey hosts BAFTA party

22/02/2010

Luxury jewellery and leathergoods company Asprey hosted the official BAFTA nominee party at its New Bond Street store on February 20.

Guests including Carey Mulligan, Olivia Williams, Gaboureh Sadibe, Colin Firth, Kristen Scott Thomas, and Nicholas Hault celebrated in anticipation of the award ceremony, which took place on February 21. Six-foot statues of the prestigious masks synonymous with the awards greeted guests, who enjoyed Grey Goose cocktails with Taittinger champagne and a dedicated chocolate tasting room courtesy of Hotel Chocolat.

The Asprey Polo Lounge was transformed into a gallery for the evening, showcasing a range of photographs of nominees. A special BAFTA film room was created on the first floor, projecting last year's awards ceremony onto the walls.

Asprey was founded in 1781 and produces a variety of high-end leathergoods, jewellery, silver, clocks, watches, crystal and rare books. The company was the official jewellery partner of the BAFTAs this year and provided jewellery for many who attended the event.
