UK and Pakistan to launch new leather courses
The University of Northampton, UK, and the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) in Lahore, Pakistan, are to launch several joint leather technology degree programmes and training courses.
Director, international office, at the University of Northampton, Delia Heneghan, and UVAS vice-chancellor, Professor Dr Muhammad Nawaz, discussed possible areas of collaboration and sources of funding for the academic and training programmes. They are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding in the first week of April at UVAS when the University of Northampton’s chancellor visits Pakistan.
In the last week of April, a delegation of experts from the UK university will visit UVAS to focus more on the collaboration, while in June a team of experts and UVAS professors will visit the UK university to finalise the joint ventures, academic programmes and curricula.
