Gemata to present new products at APLF
Italy-based leather machinery manufacturer Gemata is to showcase various new products at APLF, which will take place March 31 to April 2 in Hong Kong.
Alongside its traditional product offering, the firm will present new systems that have been designed with pollution reduction in mind.
The company’s new Starcolor dip retanning and dyeing machine performs leather re-tanning and/or dyeing using a through-feed process. It allows tanners to dye or re-tan even small quantities of leather, while consuming less water and using only small quantities of chemical products. According to the company, it makes the re-tanning and dyeing process quicker and more effective.
Its new scrubber model “G” already available at tanneries in Italy’s Arzignano area and is a combined fumes cleaner. According to Gemata, it offers performances, strength and a compact shape.
The scrubber is made from stainless steel AISI 304, so it can be positioned either inside or outside the tannery.
The ‘G’ machine features four scrubbing chambers: the first chamber uses a nebulising, self-cleaning nozzle and centrifugal impeller with Teflon-coated blades; the second scrubbing chamber uses multiple self cleaning nozzles; the third uses self cleaning, solvent-resistant spheres; and the fourth uses stainless steel AISI 304 double-shaped filters for the drops separation. Its five doors allow workers to check and clean the scrubber quickly and easily.
