New luxury bags at Moore & Giles

US-based leather manufacturer Moore & Giles is to launch three new leather travel bags in April.

The "Torrence" briefcase is described as a sleek, streamlined business case for executives searching for an elegant, polished look. Crafted from naturally shrunken leather hides tanned by third-generation Spanish artisans, the briefcase is tailored to offer functionality and structure for everyday office use or for trips abroad.

The "Kirby" upright briefcase offers an open middle compartment and complimentary zipped pockets on either side. Featuring one of the company's most unique, all-natural leathers sourced exclusively from Italian shoulder hides, the bag is destined to become more lustrous and brilliant with age.

The newest edition of the popular "
Berkeley" doctor's bag features the company's Finesse Copperdust leather. Tanned in Italy
on calfskin hides, it is first laser-cut to impart an alluring texture then brushed with a light, metallic finish for a velvet-like effect.

Moore & Giles has also launched an online store for its leather travel bags and accessories. "Our virtual store will help generate greater awareness for our bags and accessories while making them accessible to more consumers nationwide," said Heather Dillard, director of design for bags and accessories. "It will also provide an interactive forum for telling the story of the unique leathers, exquisite craftsmanship and design inspirations associated with each piece in our collection."
