Mahé enters leathergoods market
London-based firm Mahé recently launched its debut leathergoods collection at Prêt à Porter Paris, which ran January 30 to February 2. The new ten-piece, autumn-winter collection is inspired by the history of Rome as captured by Italian film director Federico Fellini.
The new collection draws upon the energy and vibrancy of the Via Veneto, the nightlife of which attracted many high society fashion icons in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
The collection focuses on luxury and uses dark and shiny python leathers paired with reptile prints. Deep-coloured glossy patent leathers help to reinforce the theme.
The collection has been handcrafted in Florence using leathers sourced from Tuscany.
