New tanning products at Münzing
German chemical producer Münzing Chemie has launched new additives for the tanning sector.
Syncurol SLS-N is a good softening fatliquor for all types of leather as it is light- and heat-fast. It is also suitable for double-face and for white and pastel-coloured articles. It gives the leather softness and a full round handle. On suede leathers, it offers a short, shiny nap and strong, brilliant dyeing. It can also be used during pickle and chrome tanning.
Syncurol CAL is a new economical, synthetic fatliquor. It has been developed with shoe upper leathers in mind, particularly for the fashion-oriented Italian shoe upper market. It can be applied to nappa, classic upper leathers and leathergoods, imparting tightness and a pleasant and dry touch.
Optimalin MA is a new economical, natural fatliquor for all soft articles. It can be used during all process stages whenever high softness is required and can also be used in combination with Syncurol CAL for shoe nappa. Good results on pigskin and lining leather have also been achieved using this product.
Tafigal 3360 is recommended for all nappa and suede chrome leather types. It offers good softening, filling and emulsifying properties. When used in the fatliquoring of soft shoe upper, furniture, garment and glove leathers, it offers improved softness and a light and warm touch. For suede, it provides a silky lustre without any fatty appearance. Classic upper leather types such as boxcalf and chevreaux can be treated with Tafigal 3360 in exchange for natural egg yolk in the fatliquor mix.
Cuirol C 114 is a single fatliquor used for short and compact application processes and for all types of very soft leathers. On Zebu hides, it imparts almost the same degree of softness in the area of the hump and in the butt. The processing of leather with Cuirol C 114 is economical because of the small quantities needed and because of the simplicity and shortness of the process. Leathers treated with the solution usually demonstrate excellent physical strength while colours are intense. Heat and lightfastness are good, while its gravimetric fogging values are excellent.
Metolat HM is a humidity regulator. Leathers produced using it can maintain a constant humidity even if the leather has been over-dried or has been stored for a prolonged time. It also reduces the possibility of grain break.
