Clariant introduces new Melio products
Swiss chemicals company Clariant has added two new Melio products to its range.
The first, Melio WF-5238, is an aqueous silicone dispersion and is designed to give the leather surface a silky-slippery feel. By adding the product into base coats or top coats, the product is said to significantly increase abrasion values. It can be used in a variety of automotive leather finishes as well as for high-tech sport shoe leathers.
The second new product, Melio WF-5243, aims to improve the look and feel of leathers. The aqueous emulsion gives the leather a “wet feel” and can either be added into aqueous top coat formulations or used as an overspray solution after it has been thinned with water. It can be used for all types of nappa leather to give a rich and long-lasting feel.
