Overseas interest in IILF

The organisers of the twenty-fourth edition of the India International Leather Fair (Chennai, January 31-February 3) have said they are confident the event will attract a large number of overseas buyers.
As well as attending the exhibition, about sixty-two overseas buyers have confirmed their intention to place orders and explore joint-venture projects during a programme of special visits planned in parallel with the event.
This programme of visits is being organised by the Indian Trade Promotion Organisation in cooperation with Council for Leather Exports (CLE) and other leather industry associations.
Leather footwear, shoe uppers, leather gloves, leather garments, finished leather, chemicals and tanning machinery will all be on display during the four days of the fair.
Buyers are expected from Austria, Bangladesh, Chile, Cyprus, Ethiopia, France, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, UK, USA and Vietnam.
