Online help for interior designers

26/01/2009

New Jersey-based Groove Leather, a manufacturer of upholstery leather, has launched a new online tool for the interior design trade.

Interior designers will be able to connect to the company online to specify custom leather for corporate, residential, and hospitality projects, providing online capabilities that Groove claims are not currently available to the industry.

The leather company is using a licensing agreement it has in place with colour technology provider Pantone to help interior designers choose the colour of leather they want to use. “Every design library has access and knowledge of
Pantone’s colour guides,” comments David Adler, Groove Leather founder and president. “It seemed logical to integrate a familiar interior design tool into the leather specification process. Now designers can look beyond the limitations of their design library shelves and easily create upholstery leathers that meet the specific needs of their clients.”
