Joint statement on IULTCS Congress
16/01/2009
The executive of the International Union of Leather Technicians and Chemists Societies (IULTCS), and the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) organising committee are confident that the thirtieth IULTCS Congress, which takes place in Beijing in Beijing from October 11 to October 14, will not be unduly affected by an unfortunate clash of dates with the Lineapelle and Tanning Tech exhibitions (see leatherbiz, January 9).
In a joint statement, the president of the IULTCS, Elton Hurlow, and the head of the Beijing Congress organising committee, Su Chaoying said: “We are confident that the leading global leather technicians and executives will choose to participate in the historic Beijing event.”
The two organisations said a full programme of activities and, under the leadership of Professor Bi Shi of Chengdu University, “an excellent technical programme” were coming together. The congress hotel has now been announced as the Beijing International Hotel, which is close to many of the top sightseeing destinations in the area.
