From January to November last year China’s leather industry achieved 15.7% growth in the value of its output, reaching a total of more than $10 billion.
The rate of growth dropped by as much as 13.1% compared to the year before, but profits increased by 11.8% to $290 million. In terms of volume, the output of leather handbags increased by 1.9% to 680 million pieces.
