Automotive interiors consultancy launches
15/01/2009
A new consultancy has launched in Paris for the automotive interiors sector, calling itself the first of its kind in the car industry.
For a fee of EUR 120, the agency's experts will help automotive customers customise the interior of their cars. Specialising in leather upholstery, the company says it has a wide range of samples of full-grain leather that it can send to customers, before helping them select from 36 different leather colours.
After a customer has made a selection, the agency says it will then enter into direct negotiation with tanneries and upholstery suppliers to secure a discount of up to 25%. It will also take responsibility for making sure the upholstery is correctly fitted to the customer's car and issue its own certificate of quality when the job is completed to its satisfaction.
The new company says this is a way of helping each motorist own and drive a car that is in keeping with "their personal style and the spirit of their vehicle".
Carium Design is already preparing its first collection of upholstery options, with February 12 as the launch date.
