Lanvin CEO resignation reported

08/01/2009

French news media have been quiet about the reported departure of Lanvin chief executive, Paul Deneve.

A group of US-based online fashion news outlets have reported that Mr Deneve left the high-end fashion company in December because of differences of opinion with owner, Taiwanese media entrepreneur Shaw-Lan Wang.

The company's business development director, Frederick Lukoff, had already announced his departure; he will become the new president and CEO of Stella McCartney in February. Mr Deneve joined Lanvin from Nina Ricci in 2006, having previously held executive positions at Courrèges, Apple and Exxon.

Lanvin achieved full-year sales of EUR 108 million in 2007, and was predicting growth of 30% for 2008 thanks to a good performance in its leathergoods division.
