Italy’s ambassador to Pakistan, Vincenzo Prati, met the Asian country’s investment minister, Waqar Ahmad Khan, to discuss matters of mutual interest. They both stressed the need to further strengthen existing economic relations for the benefit of both countries.
Mr Prati said that investors from Italy were particularly keen to invest in the leather, garment and agriculture sectors and were coming to Pakistan with concrete proposals.
He also said that the Italian government was also willing to cooperate with Pakistani business figures in adding value to their products through the transfer of technology in various sectors including leather and livestock.
