Leather chemicals specialist William John Boyko passed away on December 11 at the Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. A memorial service was held on December 14 at Phillips Chapel at the Canterbury School in Greensboro.

Born in Darmstadt, Germany, Mr Boyko received his engineering degree in Biochemistry from the University of Vienna, Austria. He specialised in the leather chemicals throughout his career and moved to the US in 1984. He worked for Rohm for many years and headed the US operations of TFL in Greensboro until 2003.
